THE SEVEN (8) HEROES

The Eight are a group of eight persons whose special ability allows them to carry the seven swords. Nonetheless, even if the name suggests a problem between the number of heroes and swords, everyone is able to carry their own sword. Indeed, even though there were originally seven swords, when the 2nd one broke in half, its magic did as well. As such, the 2nd sword requires two different people to hold its two halves, which is why there are eight heroes and not seven. Because these blades share magic, their holders must similarly be linked spiritually. The concept of soul-bonds or soul-mates comes into play at that time as holders of the 2nd sword(s) must be soul-bonded, this bond can be one of familial, romantic or platonic nature.

Artwork and character profiles of the eight heroes will come at a later date.

THE ANCESTORS

The Prophet, also called Madman Noah, from his real name Noah (the Blacksmith), who built the seven swords was immune to their magic and could resist their potential curses unlike any regular human. When he finished his work, he tasked seven of his children to protect the swords and make sure they didn't fall in nefarious hands. Because Noah's blood runs in their veins, his children can bear to touch the swords longer than anyone who is not a hero. The seven of them had children who followed in their footsteps and continued their duty as guardian of the swords and spiritual guides. Noah's children are often referred to as "the Ancestors" and their children and grandchildren as the "Descendants".

Artwork and character profiles of the seven ancestors, Noah, their mother as well as their siblings will come at a later date.

THE DESCENDANTS

The Descendants are people from Noah's bloodline, they share his ability to bear the swords, even though theirs is lesser than his was. Those of them who kept their parents duty to protect the swords formed a committee called the Alliance. It aims at preserving peace on the continent and at preventing the swords' destruction or use for nefarious means. The Alliance presents itself as neutral, pacifist and outside of any kingdom's jurisdiction. Not all descendants kept close contact between themselves, some sword-line have disappeared from all eyes, even those of their kin. Other descendants lost sight of their sword and are desperately trying to get it back while maintaining the appearance of control.

Artwork, character profiles and backstories for some descendants will come at a later date. Further explanation on their abilities, role, lineage, means of transfer of the swords or on the Alliance as a whole can be found in the "Main world" section under the name "Unfortunately there is nothing to see there yet".

OTHER/SECONDARY CHARACTERS

These characters are neither descendants nor ancestors but they still play a role in the story. Even though they aren't really considered "Ancestors", Noah's other children who may be of importance, as well as his wife will be in the "Ancestors" category above.

Artwork and character profiles of secondary characters will come at a later date.
